Dear Treasure Hunter,

Welcome to the start of The Grand Internet Treasure Hunt.

Here are some key points to remember:

1). You have Thirty Days from Today to find the Treasure.

2). Since time is important in this First Tournament, if your Computer is below 200mhz, 32 mb RAM, or your Modem and/or Internet Connection are slow, it would be better to choose the No Multi-Media Version of the Hunt. We have provided a Full Multi-Media Version in case you get stumped for a while and need a short break. During such a break you can read the News, watch Video News, watch TV or listen to your Favourite Music. You can also change the background music for the entire Hunt anytime using this Version. You can also switch between these two Versions anytime if you choose to.

3). Even though time is important, if you try to rush you might get flustered...The real secret to solving the Clues is Observation and Lateral Thinking, (or having a brain-wave)...so in trying to rush you might miss something important.

4). Each time you solve a Clue and progress through the Hunt, you will be notified by html format email with a Golden Doubloon.

5). If you find one of the 5098 Treasures, you will be entered into the Grand Final, which will then be a race to find the Final Golden Doubloon in the Chest and thereby qualify for the ultimate Treasure. You will know, without any doubt, when you have reached this Stage.

6). As you are now a Valued Member of The Private Treasure Web-Hunt Internet Club, you will find many benefits will be yours as we progress with further Tournaments: 

    You will be the first to hear of each New Tournament, the moment it comes  online, with larger and larger Cash Treasures to be found each time!

    Your Membership is already helping a Major Charity, with many more to follow.

    Finalists will be offered the chance to qualify for entry into MENSA, the high IQ Organisation, if they are not already a Member.

    Other specialised rewards will be offered to TreasureWeb Members, as we grow and expand further with our Internet activities.

7). Lastly, we have tried our best to make this browsing experience as entertaining as possible for you. Whilst we still have limitations set by the Internet itself, in terms of speed for a Graphically Enhanced Site, we hope you enjoy and appreciate the work that has gone into providing this First Treasure Hunt for you. It's not quite Television yet, but we ARE working on it!!
